Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial therapy is a manual therapy technique often used in massage therapy. The technique focuses on pain believed to arise from myfascial tissues – the tough membranes that wrap, connect, and support your muscles and organs. The therapist locates myofascial areas that feel stiff and fixed (instead of elastic and movable under light pressure). These areas are treated with deep massage, stretching, and movement to release the tension and restriction in the tissues.

Alix Ryan RMT, Jane Fox RMT, and Michelle Dougherty RMT each have advanced training in Myofascial Therapy, including Cupping Therapy and Gua Sha.
